By Road

Letchworth Garden City and the First Garden City Heritage Museum are easily accessible from the A1(M) junctions 9 or 10, with the A1(M) providing a direct link to the M25. The A505 offers an east west connection through the Garden City, stretching from the M1 at Luton to the M11 south of Cambridge. There are no parking spaces available on-site, but there are a number of public car parks nearby.To find nearby car parks, click here. A parking space on the museum driveway can be made available if required for people with mobility issues. Please telephone the museum in advance to book a space (01462 482710). The driveway is roughly 2.8m wide.

The museum is also easily accessible by bus. There is a bus stop directly opposite the museum and another 1 minute walk from the museum on Norton Way South at the bottom of Gernon Road. To plan your journey by bus please click here (www.travelinesoutheast.org.uk).

By Rail

The First Garden City Heritage Museum is located just five minutes walk away from the railway station, with frequent fast train services on the London King’s Cross to Cambridge line. Changing at Hitchin station also provides links to the Peterborough and Moorgate lines.

By Air

Letchworth Garden City is located within easy reach of London Luton and Stansted airports, with Heathrow under 50 miles.
