"Bombs A Daisy"! - a "Birthday present, To Adolf from us"
A 4000lb bomb made by Kryn & Lahy Steelfounders in 1942, with employee Dulcie Dudley proudly posing alongside it.
Kryn & Lahy were founded by Belgian refugees during the First World War, and went on to become one of Letchworth garden City's major industries.
During the Second World War they made bombs of all shapes and sizes as well as aircraft parts and components for Churchill tanks.
