The Cheap Cottage Exhibition of 1905 was a unique and fascinating milestone in Letchworth Garden City's early history.

It was responsible for putting Letchworth on the map - in 1905 the town was a household name with nationwide press coverage. The exhibition attracted over 60,000 visitors to the fledgling Garden City, and even necessitated the building of a railway station to accommodate the throng!
