Textiles

Four Square Our City banner

This selection of textiles from the Museum’s collection reflects both the town’s social and industrial history.

The costumes and banners relate to the popular events held in the town whilst the selection of silk weavings are part of the town’s industrial heritage, but also its aesthetic heritage as the designs were of an Art Deco style.
